The New Start 55+/Nouveau Départ 55+
“TARGETED INITIATIVE FOR OLDER WORKERS”
EVERYONE BENEFITS FROM HIRING OLDER WORKERS!
Older Workers make a positive impact on the workplace! With a wealth of experience many workers over the age of 55 are too young to retire and have a lot to offer employers in the Fundy region. Participating employers are eligible to receive a 70% wage reimbursement for up to 24 weeks.
Last year our clients found work in the following positions:

Maintenance/Cleaning Hotel reception
Secretary/Receptionist Customer Service
Delivery driver/Warehouse Worker Line Cook
Bookkeeping/Office Work Farming/Caretaker
Patient Sitter/Home Support Retail Management
Personal Support Worker Automotive mechanic
Warehouse worker/Mechanical Woodworking/Carpentry
Production Line Worker /Shelf Stocker
Fitness Trainer

Classes are scheduled to begin in August with the candidates ready for employment in October.
